About ReadyGuidance

Who We Are
ReadyGuidance.com is an independent emergency preparedness resource built for everyday people โ not survivalists, not doomsday preppers, not people with bunkers.
We write for the person who wants to be reasonably prepared for the kinds of emergencies that actually happen: power outages, winter storms, wildfires, hurricanes, supply chain disruptions. Realistic events. Common situations. Practical solutions.
We are not here to sell fear. We are here to help you think clearly about what could go wrong and take simple, affordable steps to be ready for it.
What We Believe
Preparedness is normal. Having a few weeks of food and water stored is no different than having car insurance. You hope you never need it. You are glad it is there when you do.
Simple beats complicated. The best emergency kit is the one you actually build and maintain. We focus on practical steps, not theoretical perfection.
Honest reviews matter. We research products carefully and tell you what we actually think, including the downsides. If a product is overpriced or overhyped, we say so.
Anyone can do this. You do not need a lot of money, a big house, or special skills to be prepared. You need a plan and a little time.
How We Make Money
ReadyGuidance.com participates in affiliate programs including the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a link to a product and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
This is how we keep the site free and ad-free. We never recommend a product just because it pays a higher commission. Our editorial recommendations are based on research, reviews, and real-world value. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.
What We Cover
Our content falls into three main areas:
Preparedness Guides โ Step-by-step guides for building emergency kits, storing food and water, making family emergency plans, and being ready for specific types of disasters.
Gear Reviews โ Honest reviews of emergency food, portable power stations, water filters, first aid kits, radios, and other preparedness equipment. We focus on value, not just features.
Skills and Training โ The knowledge side of preparedness: first aid, water purification, navigation, and the practical skills that matter when things go wrong.
